MCG Talent - Live Roles - W/E 4th May
It's been nearly three months since I moved to Hong Kong from Dubai to head up our Asia operations. To say I've learnt a ton would be an understatement.
๐๐ป ๐๐ต๐ผ๐ฟ๐: this is my third time moving abroad and I thought I'd have a pretty good handle on what I was about to go through.
I was wrong.
โณ Challenging? Yes.
โณ Rewarding? 10000x Yes.
If I had to sum up the three biggest takeaways that have helped with the transition.
1) ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐น๐๐ฒ๐.
Stick by them and don't flinch in the face of new challenges and a new environment.
You know what works and they're a lot more universal than you think.
2) ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ.
It's normal to want/see/do everything all at once, especially when you move somewhere new.
Don't be frustrated by the pace. Things take time and that's par for the course.
3) ๐๐ป๐ท๐ผ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ป๐ฒ๐.
Cliche and I always hate reading this but (annoyingly) it's true.
It's not meant to be easy and you've got to work hard.
Doesn't mean you can't have some fun along the way.
