Quick One - We share our live roles on a daily basis in real-time across the Middle East and Asia to our Whatsapp Community.

Last week we facilitated five interviews from direct applicants from within the group!

Ok, so the year started off pretty strongly with last week’s announcement that I had completed an MBO of the MCG - Middle East offices. 

It’s also led me to have a think about the future of this Newsletter as it’s a pretty powerful tool for us from a marketing POV.

First some context: The original purpose of this Newsletter was to bring people our latest roles in as direct a manner as possible. 

It worked and we helped a lot of people into work directly from applications we received through our job list.

However, the bigger it grew (currently 25,000+ subscribers - all organic) the harder it became to meet the needs of such a large group of people. 

The ceiling we hit was that we could only share the live roles that we received as a business each week.

This posed challenges. 

  1. By the time the Newsletter came around we might have already had movement on a role that no longer required further support.

  1. No matter how many roles we posted, we weren’t capable of meeting the individual expectations of such a diverse and growing group of people.

It just ended up falling a bit flat and we lost motivation with it. To be very frank we probably grew too quickly…

We’ve countered this for 2026 by creating a Whatsapp Group where we advertise roles as they come in across both offices - nearly every day so far in January. 

It feels a lot stronger and we’re getting much better feedback and in real-time! 

While on platforms like LinkedIn, we’re held back by the algorithm - our Whatsapp Group (and this Email List) are a lot more direct and give us much better responses and quicker access to you. 

It really is a case of Quality > Quantity. 

So what next for the Newsletter? 

We’ll continue each week to bring you our live roles across APAC and MENA each week (scroll for this week’s list) as well as a small bit of commentary.

Where I think there’s a gap at the moment is between the candidate experience and the reaction of LinkedIn/anyone hiring to the reality. 

I know your pain points:

  • Applications disappear into black holes (LinkedIn EasyApply, anyone?)

  • Companies ghost after promising “next steps”

  • Interviews are in short supply

  • Less-qualified people seem to gain traction

  • Months drag on while your network goes cold and opportunities vanish

I also know how to fix them as I live this reality daily.

Alongside the free newsletter, I’m going to send one private weekly edition where I answer reader-submitted questions.

We pick the strongest questions each week and go all in: breaking down the exact situation, spotting hidden blockers, sharing what actually moves the needle and giving you the exact plays to fix it.
