The secret to growing on LinkedIn in 2024
There's a rising demand for high-quality video content on LinkedIn. This presents a major opportunity for brands (and thought leaders) ready to step in.
Here’s how you can capitalize:
Grab your company's existing video assets, like interviews or webinars
Generate dozens of clips using OpusClip
Schedule your whole month’s worth of video clips on LI using our new Calendar feature
Reply to comments on your videos to foster your new connections

Since the inception of this newsletter we’ve sought to give you real and genuine insights into how to get ahead in the GCC job market – a notoriously difficult space. These have always been from the POV of us as a Recruitment company.
For a fresh perspective this week we’ve teamed up with Todd Webb, currently Head of UX and UI at Wio Bank in Abu Dhabi. Todd is a highly experienced leader in the design space with a strong record of hiring in the UAE and his insights into the job market are invaluable – even for those outside of the Design industry.
He’s recently launched an initiative to try and give time back to jobseekers with 121 slots available via his Calendly – though these were booked up pretty quickly. To find out more about Todd check out his LinkedIn profile here!
Tell us a bit about yourself, how long have you been in the UAE and what brought you here?
I've been here since 2019 which is 5 and a bit years. Before that I was working in London across different design agencies and in-house roles.
Just by chance the role came up [in Dubai]. It was it for Liv Bank by Emirates NBD, and it came up in the right place at the right time and I was like, ‘You know what? Let's just do it. I'll take the role and what's the worst that can happen?’
Now I head up UX/UI at Wio; I joined there in December and it’s super fun: a great team and some really interesting work. Before that, I was the Head of Design at Rain for three years, led the design team there and I saw the crypto market through its extraordinary highs and then it's extraordinary lows.
In a recent LinkedIn post, you talk about it still being a tough job market and I saw that you’re starting an initiative to support designers. Tell us what your plan is around that.
Going back months now, there was the big tech layoffs and it really affected crypto.
I feel like it’s getting better, but we're not quite there yet. I get inundated with a lot of messages on LinkedIn from designers.
People were stuck on the market after months of trying and most people were just naturally reaching out for opportunities. I thought, ‘Why not just try and give them a little bit of my time to help them along their path?’
So, I thought I’d put some of my Calendly spots up and see who needed help. And within hours, they were all booked out. It was insane to see, and I mentioned in the post that it's definitely a sign of the times.
I'm just going to see where it goes. I'm just going to give some 1-1 mentorship and try and help.
