Dubai as a destination doesn’t need selling. It’s one of the most sought after locations for expats in the world at the moment. 

We know this is true thanks to the volume of applicants we are receiving from major cities around the world.

It’s frustrating from a Recruitment perspective that so many people continue to lean on Dubai being tax-free and sunny as its major selling points. 

Not only is it incredibly underwhelming, it comes at the expense of providing actual insight and advice into what life is like in the region.

This makes it hard for candidates to make an informed decision on the move.

The gap that needs plugging is how we provide tangible advice that can help overcome any transition period associated with the move.

I say this as someone fast approaching three years in this part of the world. 

Without meaning to sound negative, it’s not all brunches and pool days.

Don’t get me wrong – I love living here. 

I have also seen a lot of people come out with wrong intentions and very quickly find themselves back where they started. 

To carve out a life in the UAE that lives up to your expectations and is also sustainable, takes time and effort.
